Teddy Bear

A bit of brown yarn and a crochet hook,

Beady black eyes with a happy look,

A pattern from a dog-eared book,

A little bit of a personal flair,

Some time spent in my old rocking chair,

And so shapes up another teddy bear.

Some small girl will hug it tight,

Not even care if it’s not just right,

‘Cause it’ll be perfect in her sight,

And keep her company through the night.
